Josephine Dill

Josie is survived by her loving husband Walter and best friend for over 57 years, cherished mother of daughters Lynn (Dave) Begley, Dorene, Kareen (Steve) Spring; grandsons Dylan and Seamus Begley whom she adored.

Josie was the daughter of the late Angus Beaton and late Catherine (MacIsaac) and was born in Inverness, NS. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters “Big Mary” Beaton, Mary Knickle and Dorothy Wales, and brothers Billie, Jimmy, Archie, Donnie and Johnny Beaton. Dearly missed by her siblings in Nova Scotia: Winston (Jean) Beaton and Rhonda Moran. Fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Margaret Mary Church, 20 Idlewood Ave., Hamilton, ON L8T 1V9. A private interment to follow in Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Cemetery in Stoney Creek.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Josie are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society and Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
