It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Josip on May 8, 2017 in his 69th year. Beloved husband of Jelka for 48 years. Loving father of Renata Palozzi (Angelo) and Joseph Buturajac (Heather). Cherished grandfather of Nick, Elena, Stephanie and Emma. He will be sadly missed by his sister Ljubica Tomasic (Ivan), his sisters in Croatia, Dora Poturica, Kata Spudic and his brother Mike Buturajac (Kathy). Predeceased by his sister Mara Tersic. Also missed by all his nieces, nephews and friends in Canada and Croatia. Thank you to Dr. Ashraf, Dr. Turnbull and Dr. Kanani for all your help and to all the support staff at CCAC, VON nurses and everyone at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. A special thank you to Mary Ann, Jessica and Stacey for all your hard work and kindness, especially these last few weeks. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Wednesday from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm with Vigil Prayers at 7:15 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 9:30 am. Interment Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery.
