Josip Pino Dujela

Born in Zadar, Croatia, son of Vice and Slavicia (nee Perincic) Dujela. Beloved husband of Gordana Marjia (nee Vukelic). Loving father of Gloria (Tom) Mesic and Denis Dujela. Cherished grandfather of Sophia and Matthew Mesic. Dear brother of Ana (Victor) Mesaros (predeceased), Noni (Graziela) Dujela, and Jolanda Dujela. He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, Irena Mesaros (predeceased), Pino Mesaros, Jasminka (predeceased), Suzy, Tatjana, Vesna, Renato and Slavicia Dujela.

Josip loved his family and worked hard to ensure that we were all loved, protected and in need of nothing. He loved his hometown of Zadar, the sun, the Adriatic and Dalmatian music. He shared his passion for soccer with his family and coached soccer for many years at Holy Cross Croatian Church.

Resting at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton for visitation on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. Prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, Hamilton on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 11 a.m. Interment at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
