PONA, Jozef Tragically on Thursday, April 28, 2011 with Stefan and Maria by his side, Jozef Pona at the age of 78, was suddenly taken away. Dearly beloved husband of the late Joanna (nee Guzik 1976). Cherished Tatus to Barbara Sulzycka (Janusz), Urszula Grudzien (Peter), Lucyna El Hares (Omar), Robert, Margaret Ferreira (Paulo), Gabriel (Monika Orminska) and Peter (Sarah Ehmke). Beloved Dziadzius to Paul, Magdalene, Joanna, Lillian, Renata, Ted, Joanna, Maher, Anthony, Michelle, Monica, Hubert and Dominik. Lovingly remembered by his siblings Mikolaj, Maria, Stefan, Anna, Janina, Jan and Anastazja. Jozef's children would like to express their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Stefan and Maria Pona. The family will receive friends at the MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Sunday, May 1, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. PLEASE NOTE ROSARY SERVICE TIME CHANGE FROM 3 p.m. TO 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stanislaus Church (Hamilton) on Monday at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. Jozef will be dearly missed, but the family takes great comfort in knowing he will be reunited with his wife after 35 years.
