Katherine Ada Rhoda Duguay

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Katherine on Sunday March 3rd, 2024 at the Bob Kemp Hospice in Hamilton, Ontario. Katherine in her 81st year, passed peacefully with family by her side, after a short battle with stomach cancer.

Katherine better known to those who knew her and loved her, as Kathy. Was born on July 4, 1943 to the late Thomas and Lillian Porter. She was a devoted wife, mother to her children and nanny to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. All of whom she loved dearly.

Kathy is predeceased by her loving husband Joseph, her daughter Brenda and her siblings Dorothy and William.

She is survived by her children David (Kerri), Katherine (Hickey) and Lillian (Frank). Her brother Thomas (Carol) and sister Margaret (Bob). Kathy will be extremely missed by her 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. And a great many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the many PSW's and nurses, that Kathy has had over the last couple of years. And also a special thank you to staff at Bob Kemp Hospice for their care and compassion during the final days of Kathy's life.

A visitation for Katherine will be held Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Marlatt Funeral Home, 615 Main Street East, Hamilton, ON L8M1J4.

A funeral service will be held Friday, March 8, 2024 at Marlatt Funeral Home at 11:00 AM, with interment to follow at Gates of Heaven Cemetery, 580 Old York Road, Burlington, ON L7P4Y6.
