Kathleen Ruth Smith

Smith,  Kathleen  Ruth  [Kay]      Passed away peacefully at Queens Garden on Saturday June 16th in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Andrew Smith. Predeceased by her sisters and their spouses Susan Millar (Thomas), Millicent Allen (James), Florence Redding (Albert), and Esther Holcombe. She is survived by her brother-in-law William Holcombe. Kay also leaves her nieces and nephews Grant Millar (Kathy), Robert Millar (Patricia), Elizabeth Haukass (Randy), Anne Schmidt (Eric), Grant Holcombe, Doreen Daniels (the late Jack), Robert Smith (Mary Lou), Eleanor Piette (Earl), and Don Smith (Jean).   Kay served as organist at South Gate Presbyterian Church which she attended for many years. She will be remembered for her love of music and enjoyed playing the piano for others well into her 90th year. Kay was active in her younger years providing delicious dinners to relatives and friends, travelling and playing bridge. The family will receive friends at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennel Avenue East, on Wednesday June 20th from 10 am to 11 am. The service will be held in the chapel at 11 am following the viewing. Interment in the Gore Cemetery, RR#3  Hagersville.  Special thanks to the dedicated and caring staff at Queens Garden.
