My dear friend Darlene…..I know how precious every moment and memory of the years you had together, will absolutely ‘run’ through your memory bank today. You and Keith shared these beautiful moments  until God called him home. As those memories wrap themselves around you today, my prayer is that so much warmth and strength and love will support you. Mr. Avery was the kindest of men. He gifted us on our wedding day with his talents at the piano. It was such a beautiful benediction to our wedding ceremony. We will always hold him in great esteem for blessing us. He was a wonder, in many ways.
Additionally we send our deepest condolences to the family and Darlene, who was always like an Auntie to me. With love and prayers Ryan and Marie.

For well over 60 years Keith has left his imprint on my life. Music became the doorway to knowing and understanding who Keith was as a person and once he sat down at the piano......there was never a doubt!  He was right where he loved  to be.....tickling the ivories, playing memories that moved everyone to smiles and to tears. The gentle soul behind those twinkling eyes showed up every time and we were never disappointed. Thanks for the memories Keith. Your kindness, your respect for others and your genuine interest in others made you a man to be loved by all. 

The Avery family have always been very special to us, over the years, for many reasons. You're in our prayers.

I am so very saddened to hear of Keith's passing. I got to know Keith many years ago, when I worked with his beautiful wife Darlene. What an impressive figure he was. Friendly and kind, with that rich, powerful voice. A very personable and charming man, who treated others in his presence with respect and consideration. Keith was a man I hold in high esteem, a class act in every way. My sincere condolences to the family. Darlene, my heart goes out to you as you are dealing with this devastating loss. The love you two shared was inspirational. May your memories give you peace.

I was very young when I became a part of the Howard family. Keith and Corrine (as well as Keith’s parents), were very kind and gracious to me and my three sons. I will always cherish very fond memories of Keith and his family. My sincere condolences to Keith’s family.

We remember Keith as such a quiet unassuming  & godly man. Always a warm smile. He was so gifted musically and no one could match his command of the piano & organ. The music just flowed from deep inside him, and blessed all who heard him play. He was a very humble and wise man who we were privileged to know.

Dear Darlene
I was saddened to read of Keith's passing. During the time I knew him as the City Clerk, he was always a gentleman and a consummate professional. He always had a smile and a "Hello".  I remember you speaking very fondly of Keith when you were at Helen Detweiler Public School, and my son, Brandon, was at the daycare there. I hope the happy memories of your life shared together will bring you comfort now and in the days ahead. Extending my sincerest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to you and your family.

So sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I know I was in your lives for a short time, but your family was always very special to me.  Of all the kids I ever babysat in my teens, you two were always my favourite.

I worked in the Engineering Department for 35 years and on the many occasions needed the services of the Clerks department. It was always a pleasure to work with Keith when he was the assistant Clerk and when he became the City Clerk. He certainly was an honourable man.
We continued our friendship after we retired by meeting every Wednesday for coffee with other City officials and solved all the problems of the world. We missed Keith when he was not able to attend our Wednesday morning coffee and meeting but he was always remembered.

I was so very sorry to hear about Keith's passing. He was a true gentleman and such a gifted musician. I could listen to him play all day. I enjoyed the years of friendship over morning coffee at Tim Horton's on my way to work every day.  When he came to work at Cresmount as our organist, he was such a blessing to so many families through music.  Although the last several years have been very difficult for all of you my hope is that your memories of such a great man will comfort you. 


Our sympathy to the Avery family in the loss of this  very special gentleman.      He was an amazing musician and blessed many people with his faith, humble personality and many gifts.
