It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and great grandfather Ken, after a brief illness. Beloved husband of Janet (pre-deceased). Father of Kevin and Patti Thur and Lourie and Jack Van der Zyden. Cherished grandfather of Shannon (Franco) Antonucci, Colleen (Jim) Coupe, Adam Thur (Chris Chlasciak), Ashley (Brendan) Smith and Kyle Van der Zyden (Cait Nunn). Proud G.G. of Mikaela, Aiden, Madelaine and Adeline. Loving friend of Jeannette Gilkes. Remembered with fondness and love by many cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends. Ken was a long-time Rotarian and a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a Charter Member of St. Andrew’s United Church. His loves were his family and his cottage. We will cherish him forever. A celebration of Ken’s life will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church on Sept. 16, at 1:00 p.m., to share fond memories and your favourite “Kenny” stories.
