Kevin James Spong

Kevin has gone to be with his Lord and Saviour on Thursday August 25, 2022, in his 61st year. Predeceased by his loving father Frank Spong (Sept. 2010) and mother Doris Spong (Mar. 2021). Kevin will be sadly missed by brother Mark Spong (Penny) and sister Debra Spong. Cherished uncle of Jennifer (Tony), Christine (Mark), and Ashleigh (Todd) and great uncle of Aiden, Annabelle, Benjamin, Cadence, Chase, and Paige.

Kevin worked at Lawson Lumber for 35 years, most of that time along side his father. Kevin then went on to work at Turkstra Lumber and Talbot Wood Products. Kevin enjoyed working for Grimsby Hyundai where he transferred vehicles giving him the opportunity to drive new and different cars. He also took joy in attending Garside Bible Church, and his time spent volunteering at Galcom International. Meeting and interacting with people in everything he did brought him much pleasure.

Most importantly Kevin will be remembered as a son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and great uncle that we were all proud of. He was kind, compassionate, and caring bringing joy and humour to everyone he touched.
