It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Klemens on August 27, 2019 in his 100th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Anna (2016) and son John (2013). Loving father to Edward (Virginia). Adored grandfather to Steven and Sara. Klemens was born in Poland where he later escaped from the concentration camp then went on to join the Polish Division in the British Eighth Army. He immigrated to Canada in 1949 and became a successful entrepreneur through his hard work and dedication. Klemens will be remembered for the love he showed his family and his enjoyment for gardening and fishing. Visitation will be held at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street E. (at Kenilworth) on Thursday, September 5th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stanislaus Kostka Polish Church, 8 Saint Ann St. on Friday, September 6th at 10am. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
