My condolences to Marie and family with the passing of Lambert into his eternal home.   Many, many years have passed since we have connected but when these momentous events occur, time seems to stand still, for a moment.  
Lambert and I were cousins as our fathers were brothers.  Marie's mother and my mother were friends as we lived in Oakville as did Marie's parents.   Gordon and I kept in touch in our youth as he visited his grandparents most summers.   Lambert officiated at my mother's funeral.   Precious memories of days gone by.
My deepest sympathy to you all and may the God of all comfort give you strength and courage in the days and months ahead.

His encouraging Bible-based messages, infectious laughter, and genuine care for people have helped us grow in our faith and strengthened our walk with God. He would say to us..“CLASS…now listen..” Loved being his students! A part of every service would be spent with the children - calling them to the front and just talking  with them… those are PRECIOUS memories!

When I first attended West Highland Lambert was the paster.I remember the services drew us together and at the end holding hands would sing To God be the glory. Later in He was temporarily at Elliot Heights Baptist Church.  He will be missed and my condolences to Marie and family

I am so grateful for the influence of Pastor Baptist on my life as a teenager at Temple Baptist Church in Sarnia.  This connection led to a friendship with his children - especially Jan (and Bruce) - and a loving, warm relationship with Mom B.  I also had the opportunity to work alongside Pastor B at the Fellowship Baptist Office in Toronto.  Thinking of you all today as you celebrate his life and reflect on the gift, pastor, leader and friend he was to so many.  with love Linda Moo 

We have such fond memories of Pastor Lambert as he took part in our wedding and then called us at the hospital in Montreal when we had our car accident. He was present in our joys and sorrows —a true man of God! We wish we could be there in person to hug each one as you say your temporary goodbyes to this dear man.

So sorry to hear of your loss of a very dear loved one.  May the Lord give you all peace and comfort as you mourn the loss of a loving husband, father, grandfather, pastor and dear friend.  
Pastor Baptist invited my family to come to North Broadway Baptist Church, Tillsonburg, where we clearly heard the Gospel of the Lord Jesus.  Recently, I found the first bulletins of my family's first attendance, and the first sermon my dad heard was .."I AM".    We heard that Jesus Is the Way, the Truth and the Life.  My family's lives were forever changed.  The Lord shone through Pastor Baptist and Marie, as they so graciously and lovingly reflected Him.   The Lord saved me through the message of Pastor Baptist, as the Lord brought his sermon messages back to my heart.   I have loved Pastor Baptist dearly since a little girl.  How blessed we are to know Jesus, and to know that one day we will see Jesus face to face, and then to see the saints who have gone before us.   May we be found faithful to follow and remember those who taught us and led the way.  Pastor Baptist will forever be one of my greatest heroes!

Our first meeting with Pastor Baptist and lovely Marie went something like this...We asking...'How will we know you?'( we had not met in person yet)...Pastor's response..."I'm handsome and my wife Marie is beautiful.  You'll be able to find us"  And so began a wonderful working time with this beautiful couple who always opened their hearts and home to us...so many have lovely memories to share I am sure...but the example of loving strong faith and genuine caring for others has always been a wonderful path for us to follow...God bless the family during this time of deep mourning for this beloved gentleman...

Marie:  Dad (Bill) is not able to at the moment, but if he was, he would join me in telling you how sorry we are for your loss. I remember fondly the occasions when Dad and I joined Lambert in ministering to seniors in some of the long-term care facilities in Burlington.  We pray that you will know God's presence, His comfort, and His peace in this difficult time.

Pastor Baptist baptized me as a new believer at 15 years old in Temple Baptist Church. I went off to Bible college and the mission field. Then, just a few years ago, I tracked him down in Burlington to hug him and tell him what I had done with my life. He was so happy, he almost cried. I told him that we often don't see the fruit of our labour, but the important thing is to be obedient and faithful unto the Lord.  The Lord is saying to him "Well done, faithful servant! Enter into My rest."
I am praying for the family that the Lord will fill them with His peace and strength. God bless you!

Dear Marie:  Our condolence to you and your family on Lambert's homegoing.  We loved meeting you and Lambert years ago at Compasspoint and you and I  got  together sometimes at MBC retreats.  I am sending you this note on behalf of my sister, Lois Brouwers, who is now confined at LTC Brant, Village of Tansleywoods.  I know that you and Lambert had some visits with Jack and Lois many years ago and  Gerald and I loved to chat with you as well whenever we met.  Gerald and I both know the experience of loss of a spouse and we are broken for you.  You will be in our prayers for the comfort that only HE can provide.                          

You shared your wisdom with us in major decision regarding our family. 

You confirmed our standing for the truth of the gospel and encouraged us in our walk with God. 

So Good night my brother/pastor. Take your rest until we meet again on the other shore. 

It was a pleasure knowing Lambert thru his ministry at Temple Sarnia as well as Fellowship functions.  We also shared a joint interim ministry atBethel in Orillia for 3 years. During a trying time, it was because of Lambert I felt overwhelming peace for the first time in my life. Although over the years we didn’t spend a huge amount of time with him and Marie, the time we spent was meaningful and will stay with us forever. Sending love, light, prayer and hugs to Marie and all who will miss him.  (Matthew 5:4)

I grew up down the street from Mr. and Mrs. Baptist. They were such great neighbours and were friends with my parents. I still remember Mr. Baptist's hardy laugh. Mr. Baptist helped me pick out my frame for my very first pair of glasses. 
We are sending Mrs. Baptist and all of the family our condolences. 
We know Mr. Baptist is right where he knew he would be,  in Gods loving arms.

I will very much miss my uncle Lambert.  He was my dad's older brother and a very much loved and admired uncle to me. I smile now as I remember many stories of their childhood years together. He was also an incredible pastor to many and a faithful servant to the Lord and he is now home with his saviour. 
I love you uncle Lambert and you will be missed by all who knew and loved you.

I met Marie & Lambert Baptist on my way to Briercrest Bible College. His brother John and Mildred introduced us. Since then I always received a warm welcome and encouragement when meeting them on many occasions. Well done Lambert. Enjoy your fellowship with the Lord.  Marion Jean

Lambert & Marie were always welcoming to the individuals attending Compass Point Baptist Church and served well.   We will see you again in Glory.   I am sure that he will receive a "well done thou good and faithful servant".  

My thoughts and prayers remain with you Marie and your family.  Lambert was loved and respected as our "pastor" for several years and even after "retirement"  ... such a wonderful example of a man of God.  This is only adios, not goodbye. Hugging you in my heart.

I knew Lambert from hearing him preach when I attended Bible School. What a wonderful servant of God.

Wonderful Pastor and friend during his years at West Highland Baptist Church. So grateful for his genuine love for God and that it shone so clearly into all of our lives. A man after Gods own heart.

On behalf of the entire Fellowship Baptist family and Fellowship National Council,  Marilyn and I want to extend our condolences to Marie and the entire ‘Baptist family ‘ on news of Lambert’s “homegoing”.  We are so very grateful to have had Lambert on our team.  A wonderful shepherd, passionate evangelist, mentor of young leaders who loved his family. I loved listening to his stories; especially when he and Dr Roy told them together. 
   I have a photograph in my office. On the 70th Anniversary of Temple Baptist Church, Sarnia, ON, I invited all the previous Lead pastors and Lambert stood alongside the patriarchs of our Fellowship family, Hal MacBain, Bob Holmes and Roy Lawson .  That’s the way I think of Lambert. One of our treasures and we will all miss him very much . Until we see him again.
   May the Lord bless and keep you all , as you grieve so great a loss as a family. 
   I like to picture that on October 31 ( “All Saints Day”) Lambert closed his eyes and when he opened them; he saw Jesus and family and tucked behind them all was Hal, Bob and Roy ready to take him on a tour.  Oh boy, I can only imagine what Lambert and Roy have been up to since meeting again.  A lot of laughter I imagine.
