Went home to be with his Lord, suddenly on October 4, 2010. Lawrence taught elementary school for 33 years starting in Millgrove, Ontario. He taught in Freelton, Dundas and Carlisle. In retirement, he volunteered at James MacDonald School helping with computers, City Kidz recording attendance, SAT - 7 Canada assisting with office responsibilities. For the past five years he looked after the library at St. Elizabeth Villa. He attended Delta Tabernacle in his younger days and for the past fifteen years he went to West Highland Baptist Church. He is survived by his brother Peter and wife Jeray, sister Sharon and husband John, niece and nephews, Derek, Dale, Monica, Justin, Timothy and Joel and several great-nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 7th, 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at Cresmount Fennell Chapel, 322 Fennell Ave E. Memorial Service honouring Lawrence’s life will be held on Saturday, October 9th at 10:00 A.M. at West Highland Baptist Church 1605 Garth St., Hamilton. In Lieu of flowers, donations to City Kidz would be appreciated.
