Leonard Harold Shields

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Len Shields on Wednesday, February 2, 2011in his 85th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Dorothy (Ayers) for over 63 years. Loving and dearly loved father of Bryan (Sandy), Carl (Sue) and Paul (Karen). Dear brother of James (Jean), Marguerite (Earl) and Carl (Carol). Cherished Papa of Aleisha (Ethan), Paul, Scott, Lindsey, Ian, Meghan, Jena and Ryan. Great Papa to Avery and Rylee. Len worked at International Harvester for 44 years and was a member of Mount Hamilton Baptist Church for over 70 years. He will be missed for his wise counsel and wonderful dry wit. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all of the neighbours on Alderney Ave. for their ongoing support and heroic efforts. The kindness extended by Roberta and Owen Chabot will be appreciated forever. Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME 322 Fennell Ave. East on Sunday February 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to take place on Monday, February 7th at Mount Hamilton Baptist Church 626 Upper Wentworth St.(across from Value Village and Harvey’s) at 11a.m. Cremation to follow.
