

CREECHAN, Leone Edna-Mae At Macassa Lodge on Monday, September 13, 2010, Lee Creechan died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. She was the cherished Mom of Jim and Mary Lou, Ed and Sharon, Dan and Simone, Leanne and Ted Thompson, Mary Anne, Peter, Josephine Middleton, and Paul and Erika. "Grandma Lee" was adored by her grandchildren, David, Gavin, Sarah and Adam, Christopher, Matthew, Stephen and Stephanie, Katherine, Nathan and Erin, Danielle, Travis, James and Tyson, and she was the beloved "GG" of Allie Thompson. Lee was predeceased by her husband James, her beautiful daughter, Anne Marie, her parents Albert Searles and Leone Calnan, her siblings June Matyas and Harry Darrel, and her in-laws James and Mary Creechan. Lee was the sister and sister-in-law of Ilene Uren, Jewel and Bob Gordon, Delmar and the late Mary Munford, the late Anne and Eldred Holmes, Margaret Hill-Creechan, Theresa and the late Peter Creechan, Helen and Jack Freeborn, the late Johnny Creechan, Marilyn Cooper, Tommy Creechan, Kathy Creechan, Alice and the late Stan Rees, and the late Joe Matyas. "Auntie Lee" was well-loved and respected by her many nieces and nephews and their families. Many thanks to the Staff and the residents of Macassa Lodge for the loving care and friendship that was so generously bestowed upon Lee throughout her residency. Visitation at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth), Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayer service Thursday at 8:30 p.m. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Charles Garnier Parish on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board Equal Opportunities Fund or a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
