Lucia D'Alimonte

Peacefully, in her sleep, at the Hamilton General Hospital on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of the late Bartolomeo (2007). Survived by her children Graziella (late Vittorio) Parete, Antonio (Maria), Giorgio (Marie), Nicola (Pam), Lena (Kevin) Gow, Elda (Steve) Jones, Maria Stone (Kevin) and Geremia (Anita). Loving nonna to 14 grandchildren and bisnonna to 13 great-grandchildren as well as one on the way. Aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her daughter Maria, parents Francesco and Antonietta, brothers Antonio and Guerino. Sister of Rosario, Maria, Assunta and Pasqua. She will also be missed by her many friends in the Alba congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Lucia was known for always putting others first, especially her family. The family would like to extend a sincere thanks to the staff of ward 4 West for their kind care with a special thanks to nurses Christine and Jackie. Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue E., on Sunday from 1-3 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 277 Stonechurch Road W., Hamilton, on Monday at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount Hamilton Cemetery.
