Passed peacefully on May 22, 2015 at the Juravinski Hospital in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of Harry DeJong. Predeceased by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Bortniak from Garkov Ukraine. Will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews. Lydia immigrated to Canada in 1951. She was a hairdresser at the Right House and started her own business in Mount Hope for 45 years. Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Tuesday, May 26th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May 27th at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Interment to follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. A celebration of Lydia's like to be held at Edelweis in St. Elizabeth Village at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations made to St. Andrews United Church would be appreciated.
