Mabel Blanche McKie

It is with great sadness, but with many cherished memories, we announce the passing of our mother, grandma, and great-grandma at Idlewyld Manor on January 8, 2016, in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Charles (Bud). Loving mother of Barbara McIlveen (Dennis), Bonnie Wordock (John--deceased), and Brenda Bell. Special grandma to Darlene, Linda Lunsky (Eric), Suzanne, Nancy La Macchia (Philip), Scott Wordock (Julie), Sandra Wordock (deceased), Angela Bell (Ted), and Kevin Bell. Great-grandma Maimie to Isis, Deacon, Serena, Finesse Lunsky, Josephine and Abigail La Macchia, Kylie McIlveen and Kaiden Wordock. Mabel is predeceased by her siblings Wilfred Kilgour, Violet McDonald, Rose Wilson and Edward Kilgour. Maimie will be missed by many nieces and nephews. She had many friends from the Cathedral of Christ the King Parish. Mabel was given excellent care by the staff at Idlewyld Manor where she lived for the past 8 years. Thank you for loving her, and treating her with patience and compassion. Family and friends will be received at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue East, on Monday January 11 2-4 and 6-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at The Cathedral of Christ the King on Tuesday, January 12, at 10 am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to the Idlewyld Manor Recreation Department or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
