Margaret Annie Pilkey-Steele (nee Strang) Passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on August 1, 2013 in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late McKenzie Steele and Norman Pilkey. Margaret was the first of 6 children and was predeceased by 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Margaret has several nieces and nephews scattered throughout North America. Margaret was a Registered Nurse, having carried out her profession for 25 years with Children’s Aid Society and 25 years as a nurse/social worker. A stepfamily with one daughter (Diane Murray (Alan)), and one son (Robert Steele (Nancy)), 3 grandchildren (Amy (Jay), Daniel and David) and one great-granddaughter. They have contributed in many ways to make Margaret a happy and caring individual. At Margaret’s request cremation has already taken place and a memorial service will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church on Tuesday August 6th , at 11:00. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to the Dr Bob Kemp Hospice.
