Peacefully passed away at the Hamilton General Hospital on December 24, 2013 Christmas Eve, at the age of 82. Predeceased by her loving husband Nikica. Loving mother of Denise Mamic and her husband Stipe, Monique Juric and Stan Juric and his wife Paula. Adored Babi of Christina and Leo DeBenedictis, Matthew Mamic and Rebecca Higgs and dear great-grandmother of Katia. Predeceased by her son Ivan and her parents Alexandre and Helene Rutkowski and brother Tomas. Loving sister of Regine Stipetic and family and Edvige from France. Special thanks to the angels on 8 West at the Hamilton General Hospital. Family will receive friends at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Sunday, December 29th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Rosary at 7:15 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, on Monday, December 30th at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In memory of Maria donations may be made to Holy Cross Croatian Church.
