Maria Kolodziejski

She was born on September 23, 1925, in Stachura, Poland to John and Marian (nee Robak) Stachura.

In 1945, she married Felix Kolodziejski (deceased), having their son Jan in August 1946. In 1951, they immigrated to Canada and started a life together in Hamilton, Ontario.

Maria worked for 35 years at the Cotton Mill on Mary St. in Hamilton as spinner.

Maria and Felix were long time parishioners of St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church. They were original benefactor’s of the Dom Poliski Social Club in Hamilton. Maria was a prominent volunteer in the kitchen’s of the hall.

Maria will be remembered for her love and pride of her family, of who she is survived by her son Jan (Diane), Granddaughter Kaththea (Sean), Grandson Michael (Sylvia), Great Granddaughter’s Kyela (Ollie), Julia (Spencer), Phoebe (Caleb), Mika and Mila, and great grandson Liam (Sara). With the joy of having met this past year her great, great granddaughter Alice.

Visitation will be held at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street E., Hamilton, on Monday March 9th, 2026 from 3-7pm, with Rosary being offered at 6:00 pm. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 with burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Burlington.

The family would like to extend thanks to all staff at St. Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton for their kindness and compassion with Maria.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in Maria’s name to Hamilton Health Science, St. Peters Hospital.
