Marica Tukonic

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Marica Tukonic, on Wednesday August 28, 2024, at the age of 84. Mary was surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home. Predeceased by her loving husband Nedeljko (2010) of 48 years. Cherished mother of Steve and his wife Diane and Anne and the late Gord Partridge (2019). Adored Baka of Stephanie Jacob (Joseph), Melanie Menjak (Mark), Megan Mayhew (Brydon), Mitchell, Jeffrey Rhodes (Christina) and Jason. Grand Baka to Remy, Jonah, Armin, and Kaiden. Predeceased by her father Slavko and her mother Anna. She will be dearly missed by many friends and relatives throughout Canada, USA and Croatia. She now takes her passion for cooking and baking to a higher level. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Doctors Kelly and Juta for their supporting care during her valiant struggle with cancer. The family will receive friends at MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East on Monday, September 2 from 5-8 p.m. A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would sincerely appreciate expressions of sympathy to the Croatian Sports and Community Centre of Hamilton.
