I am a friend of Marion's daughter, Susan Chapman.

I have met Marion on several occasions and I've always found her to be a kind, gentle and sweet lady with a lovely smile.

She lived a full life and had a devoted family.

My condolences to Susan and the family on her passing! ❤

I found this photo of the retired nurses - am pretty sure that your Mom is there! LC

What a wonderful woman. I knew Marion as Mrs. Fair for all of my life. The Robertson family were neighbours of the Fair’s until 1969. She took great care of me as a youngster while I had the red measles. I learned about plants, ascertaining your purpose in life & being practical. I feel very fortunate that I was part of her 100th celebration. A photo of us is attached. My condolences to the Fair family. 🌿🌿🌿

Dear Susan, Marilyn, Jean, Ruth, John and families,
We are thinking of you all at this sad time. While our minds are prepared for this time, our hearts still have to say goodbye.
Your mother was a friend, mentor, fellow-chorister and encourager to me. I remember the day I stopped by for a quick visit, and Marion led the two of us in a mini-bible study. I was the one who was comforted that day. So very like her!
She will be missed.
Love, Susan and Dave McKay

In 2017, Doug & I visited Aunt Marion at her home at Aberdeen Gardens - here we are having breakfast at a bistro down the street. Aunt Marion was engaging and ready to tour us through the region- and even enjoyed a Sunday morning Mimosa!
She was robust in every way, contributing her time and knowledge throughout her life. We wish all her family peace and comfort.

I was so sorry to read of your Mother's passing in the Spectator this weekend.
What a great lady who left her family with many memories.
I missed seeing her on her walks around the neighborhood and over to the Locke Library while she was living at Aberdeen Gardens.
She enjoyed her independence and being able to get out and about.
May all of your life memories help to sustain you at this time.
My sincere condolences and many blessings are with you Jean and the rest of your family at this time.

Ron & I visited Aunt Marion last year in October. Both seeing her in her room and visiting in the Lobby with her daughters Susan and Jean was delightful. Aunt Marion was as observant as ever remarking I looked like Hinkie (sister Agnes, now deceased) then quickly correcting herself and saying no I didn't look like Hinkie. Observant and honest as always right up to the end of life. What a remarkable woman.
Picture is of Aunt Marion reviewing the family photo album with me, Susan Mielke.

Marion was truly an amazing individual! I met her when I was 5 when my parents moved just two doors away. My mother and Marion supported each other during family challenges and became life long pals - a friendship that endured even when our family moved west 10 years later. I remember too all the "girls" and then Johnny!! They were younger than I but we still had lots of interaction - especially on the piano!! Marion could do anything - cooking, baking, preserving, gardening, volunteering - you name it, she did it! When I think of her it makes me smile! That's a wonderful legacy... and of course, the family she leaves is a tribute to her caring and loving.
She had a long and good life - but will certainly be missed by so many. May God Bless her and all the family... Virtual hugs and love
from Marcia (Mushie) Jackson Boyd
