After a brief courageous battle Mighty Mateo earned his wings on January 2, 2014 at the age of 3. Loving son of Nikki and Justin Szajnowski. Cherished grandson of the late Ralph Duckett, Pamela Duckett (Tim) and Wanda Szajnowski. Adored nephew of Natasha (Amy) and Ashlie (John). Will be missed by his partner in crime Hopey, his family and his many many fans. Special thank you to all the staff at McMaster Hospital on 3Y and PICU for all their extraordinary efforts for our little fighter. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Wednesday, January 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Mateo’s life will take place at 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mighty Mateo Fund.
