Suddenly at St. Joseph's Hospital on Friday, September 23, 2011 in his 70th year. Will be sadly missed by his former wife Carolynn and his best friend Beatrice. Dear father of Matthew Gordon Kelly and Laura Lynn Kelly. Grandfather of Jessica, Jennifer, Natasha, Brittany, Madeline, Gavin and great-grandfather to six. Survived by his sister Barbara (Ben) Smiley and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Gladys May and Matthew Harold Kelly, his brother Paul and his granddaughter Elizabeth May. Mr. Kelly served in the Signalman Corps of the Canadian Army for eight years and was a bus driver with the Hamilton Street Railway for thirty-eight years.
The family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT UPPER JAMES CHAPEL, 1020 Upper James Street on Tuesday from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the SPCA would be appreciated.
