Alex Douglas passed away unexpectedly on March 29, 2018 in his 89th year. Beloved husband to Lucille for 66 years. Loving father to Stewart and his wife Tracie and to the late Lisa Douglas. He was predeceased by his sisters, Jessie, Lenore, Nancy and Clara and by his brothers Billy, Johnny and Angus. Dear brother-in-law to May, Betsy, Betty, Agnes, Margaret, Audrey, David, Billy and Alex. He will be fondly remembered by all his extended family and many friends. Alex retired from Stelco in 1985 after 37 years of service and was an avid golfer and will be missed by his Mohawk Trails friends.
His family will receive friends at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. for a Memorial Gathering to celebrate his life on Sunday, April 8th from 2-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society or to a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated.
