Born in Hamilton on February 29, 1960, Tivi lived a life full of laughter, loyalty and generosity.
Predeceased by his beloved parents, Steve and Helen, his brother, Steve, and sister-in-law, Diane. Left to cherish his memory are his niece Tara and her children Landon and Briar, his niece Carrie, her husband Michael and their daughter Delilah, and his nephew David, all who Mike loved dearly. Also missing him are his cousins Linda and Janice and extended family members.
Tivi was a proud retiree of Ford Motor Company in Oakville, where he built lasting friendships. His love of sports was unmatched. He was a devoted Hamilton Tiger-Cats fan, holding season tickets for over 30 years. Faithfully he attended the Grey Cup for the past 25 years. He was also a passionate Toronto Maple Leafs supporter, enduring the highs and lows of every season since 1967.
As a proud member of the legendary Box J Boys, Tivi's presence was larger than life. He was also a dedicated member of the Merv Golf Tournament for over 40 years. His love for the game was only rivaled by the camaraderie he shared with fellow golfers.
His infectious spirit, quick wit and immense generosity made him a friend everyone wished to have. Tivi was known for his kindness and unwavering loyalty. His loss will be felt across Canada by all who had the privilege of knowing him, especially his many friends in the CFL community, where he was a familiar and beloved presence.
Please join Family and Friends in Celebrating Tivi’s Life at Tim Hortons Field (64 Melrose Avenue North, Hamilton) in Club Level on Saturday May 10, 2025 from 1-4pm.
