It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mirko on October 20, 2015 at the age of 64. Beloved husband of Slava (Slavica) for 42 years. Loving father of Christine Furijan and Mary-Anne Di Marino (Anthony). Cherished Dijeda of Ava and Luca. Dear brother-in-law of Ankica Prpic (Emil) and uncle of Emil Prpic (Nancy) and their children Carmela and Juliana. Will be fondly remembered by Kumovi, family in Canada, Croatia, Germany and Australia. Mirko was a retired employee of Dofasco with 33 years of dedicated service as a mechanic. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Friday from 2-4pm and 6-9pm with Vigil Prayers at 8:45pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 9am. Interment Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery.
