Born on June 14, 1951, Nancy spent her life nurturing her family with unwavering dedication and love. Nancy drew joy and purpose in being a wife and mother. She devoted herself to her family's care and upbringing, often sacrificing her own interests and desires to provide a loving home. As her battle with cancer progressed, few were the minutes she did not have a family member by her side. Tears and laughter and love enveloped her in the final week of life. Her hands were held. Her body hugged. Her brow gently kissed. A mother's compassion reflected. Our Mother's love rightly returned. Upon her passing she flew into the healing embrace of God. To be forever and dearly loved.
Nancy's life was full of quiet passions. In her youth she used to run, miles at a time, her heart pounding to the rhythm of her strides. Music and movies made her soul sing. She was a masterful painter, a grand gardener, a five-star chef, dutiful medic, travel agent, interior designer, educator, and the great knower-of-where-everything-everyone-lost-around-the-house-is.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 52 years, John Cuneo; children John-Paul (Stacy), Jeff (Mandi), and Cathy (Chuck); grandchildren Paxton, Asher, Alexander, Vincent, Aria, and Ava; siblings David, and Mark; lifelong friend Heather, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is reunited in heaven with her Mother and Father, Doris and Herbert, and brother and sister, Paul and Judy.
As we say goodbye to this extraordinary woman, we remember her as a beautiful example of what selfless love, devotion, and kindness looks like. The family finds peace knowing that she is restored in heaven. A private family service will take place at Cresmount Funeral Home.
