Peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital on September 25th, 2011 in her 72nd year. Predeceased by her parents, Douglas and Daisy and sorely missed by her dear aunt Elsie Harper (Sonny). Beloved wife of Selwyn for 46 years. Loving Mother of Sel (Jane) and Jerome (Reyes). Proud grandma of Jessica, Ethan, Enrique and Ocean. Dear sister of Maple, Joyce, Jenny, Patsy, Monica, Dorial, Sonja, Kingsley and Clayton and cousin of Joan, Gloria and Leon. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Merle and Pearl (Dunstan), her niece Rosita and by her good friends Mavis and Garfield Maynard. She will be fondly remembered by her extended family and many friends in Canada, USA and Barbados.
Norma was a long time faithful member of The Church of the Ascension and was a retired nurse from Chedoke Hospital after 30 years of service.
Her family will receive friends at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E. on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral Service to celebrate her life will be held at The Church of the Ascension, 64 Forest Ave. on Monday October 3rd at 10:30 a.m. followed by interment in Resurrection Cemetery in Ancaster. In lieu of flowers, donations to her church fund would be appreciated.
