Norman Lawrence

Born in Manchester, England on January 18, 1924. Sadly passed away at the Juravinski Hospital on Thursday, Febrauary 18, 2016 in his 93rd year. Dearly beloved husband and soul mate of the late Doreen (1990). Cherished father of Howard (Rita) and devoted granddad of Sarah (Jeff) and Andrew. Predeceased by brothers Jack and Frank. Norman will be lovingly remembered by sisters Beryl, Olga (Jack), Edna (Ray), Audrey and brother Roy. Also remembered by sisters-in-law Edith, Mavis (Ron) and brother-in-law Eric. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends in both Canada and England. Norm was a "Lancashire Lad" who brought smiles and laughter to all who met him, with his songs, jokes and stories. He was a retired steamfitter and member of Local 67 and was a longtime member of The British Imperial Club and RHLI Veteran's Association. Special thanks to all of the PSW's and also to the staff at St. Joseph's Villa for their support. Very special thank you to Rita for her tender loving care. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., Hamilton, on Monday, February 22nd from 5-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, February 23rd at 11 a.m. in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
