Patricia Ann Young

Loving mother of Kathryn Young and Karyn Young (William Ashford). Proud and loving grandma of Jake McEneny (Andrea Oriente) all of Hamilton, Ontario. She will also be lovingly remembered by her siblings Joan Faulkner of Dartmouth, N.S.; Susan Potter (Ross), of Cornwallis, N.S.; Kim Marshall (Gordon) of Upper Tantallon; Sharon Rockwood of Dartmouth, N.S.; Jamie Baxter (Rick Isnor) of Timberlea N.S.; Michael Baxter (Gwyn) of Hamilton, Ontario and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents Bernard and Rosalind Baxter both from Nova Scotia.

Patricia was born in Digby, Nova Scotia and moved to Ontario in the 1960s. She worked at Scotia Bank in the Loans Department (1964-67). Patricia worked as a Custom Builder Office Administrator. She started working for Westinghouse in 1972 as an Office Administrator, she worked in Human Resources Department and in Turbines and Generators Division as an Assistant to Alex Robertson, and was also involved in the United Way(1987) within the company, she retired in 2004. She was also a Toastmistress in the International Toastmistress Club.

Patricia was a committed member of St. Andrew's United Church for over 40 years. She was the President of the United Church Women's Group (UCW), Head of the Heather Unit and involved in the Worship Committee. She enjoyed coordinating the Tea Room at The Christmas Bizarre. Patricia enjoyed having Themed Christmas Dinner Parties for her friends every December.

Patricia will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and humor. She touched so many lives through her selflessness and compassion. She will be sadly missed by her friends and loved ones and will always be in our hearts.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life Gathering will take place at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East, on Monday, January 19, 2026 from 4 -7 p.m.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by her family.
