Predeceased by his parents Charlotte and William, his sons Billy, Paul, Jesse and his siblings Joy Douglas and Peter. Cherished father of Linda (Tom), Katie, Lucas and Charlotte. Much loved grandpa Paul to Carla, Angela, Natalie, Nicole and Lochlan. Blessed with eight great grandchildren who he loved dearly. Lovingly missed by surviving siblings Gilbert (Jackie), Sandra and Susan. Deeply missed by many nephews, nieces and other extended family and friends.
Paul had a long and varied work life including time spent with H.F.D and as a safety inspector at Dofasco. He was politically active and always enjoyed a lively political discussion. He was heavily involved with the CYO and Mahoney Park baseball in his younger days. He filled the baseball void in his life by avidly following his beloved Blue Jays until the end. Paul was indeed unique and always made his presence felt. He surely “walked to the beat of a different drummer.”
Paul resided at Northview Senior Residence and enjoyed his many friendships during his stay there. Special thanks to Brenda Fillmore, Shannon and Danielle who always watched out for Paul’s wellbeing over the years he lived there.
We would like to thank the nurses and doctors at the Hamilton General Hospital Emergency and 7 South for their guidance and support through Paul’s last journey. Private viewing and cremation has taken place as per Paul’s wishes.
