Beloved husband of Christena (nee MacDonald) for 67 years. Loving father of Sandra Daniel (Colin), Catherine James (Lee), and Julie Sajatovich. Proud Papa of Victoria Bazinet (Keith), Evan James (Selena), Virginia Demain (Aaron), Christena James, Ryan James (Carlye), and Paul Daniel (Ashley), and "Old Papa" of Daniel, Georgia, Charlotte, and Ezra. He will be lovingly remembered by siblings Mary (Late Pat), Walter (Chalene), Julie (Late Darryl), Helen (Late Malcolm), Delores, and Stephen (Anne), sisters in-law Margie (Bill) and Helen, brother in-law Kenny (Lucy), and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is reunited with his parents Paul and Julia Sajatovich.
Paul was born in Whitney Pier, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia in 1935; where he resided until moving to Toronto, Ontario with his young family in 1962. They moved to Hamilton in 1987. He worked for King Paving and then Dufferin Construction, finally retiring in 2008.
He loved to tinker on cars and small engines; he was a jack of all trades - he could fix anything, if you needed help, he was there for you, even on your roof! But the most important thing in his life was his family. He loved his beautiful wife and his daughters; they were his "Girls" and their families "his babies" when they came along. Unfortunately, he hated cheese.
The family wish to thank everyone at Macassa Lodge, the General Hospital, the Satellite Health Centre, and St. Joseph's Hospital for their compassionate care.
In accordance with his wishes, private family services and cremation have taken place.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated by his family.
