Beloved wife of 31 years to Stan Yeomans, and devoted mother to Jenna and Noah. Cherished sister to Karen, Lorraine (Curt), Kevin (Sandra), Loretta (Paul), Kerry, and Paul, and a much-loved aunt to Colleen, Pauline, Charlene, Shantelle, Katrina, Nathan, Justin, Kassandra, and Andrea, all of whom she adored deeply. Paula was predeceased by her brother Keith and brother-in-law James.
Born on April 2, 1972, in Grand Falls, Newfoundland, to parents Levi and Edna Sooley, Paula is now reunited with them in Heaven. Paula will be remembered for her incredible strength, resilience, and unwavering love for her family. She found joy in reading, shopping, and visiting her favourite spots such as HomeSense and Locke Street.
Paula treasured every moment spent with her children and family and was the proud “grandma” to her beloved fur baby, Lilah Bean. Noah will forever cherish their special trip together to Seattle. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Schnarr, Dr. Kumar-Tyagi, Dr. Shaw, and their compassionate teams at the Juravinski Cancer Centre for their care and guidance throughout her illness, as well as to the staff at Good Shepherd Emmanuel House Hospice for their care and kindness during Paula’s final days.
A private family graveside service will be held. A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at People’s Church, 510 Mohawk Road W — all are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paula’s memory to the Good Shepherd Emmanuel House Hospice or the Cancer Assistance Program.
