I know our family is going through some major heartache as we speak.  Phil was one of the nicest people I have ever met. I will remember all the laughs we shared over the years including the Algonquin trips. He will live on in our memories forever

You brought joy into my life, and your absence is greatly noticed.  My love to James, you are a special gift that Phil brought into my life, and my family's.

In my mind's eye, I see Phillip at our many family get-togethers, School, Church, Scouting, the Harbour.  Memories are as bright as yesterday, cherished today, and will live on through all tomorrows. As is Jenny, so now is Phillip - forever gentle on my mind.

I never got to meet Phil but the beauty he saw in nature is evident in his photography.   What a gift he had! Sincere Condolences to Susan, his son James and those who loved him.

Some of my most vivid and finest childhood memories include you. We knew each other and were great friends for more than 30 years. As fellow cyclists, campers, sailors, coworkers and friends, I am blessed to have had you in my life. Rest easy my friend and may you find peace. In my thoughts forever.

Phil I miss you very much.  I miss your touch, your voice, your wise thoughts and your silly dances.  

You were a wonderful Father, and husband to me, thank  you so very much.  I love you.

James know that you will always have my love.  I hope that my gift to you of the engraved heart filled with your Dad's ashes, will comfort you in the days to come.

Remember James, that when the time is right, with your Mom's permission I would love to take the remainder of his ashes to Algonquin to a place he dearly loved, and place your Dad in his most "favourite" spot.  You said you knew many!  I think he'd like that very much.

So sorry to hear of this unexpected loss of Phil. He will be deeply missed by many. My heart goes out to the immediate family including Jodi, his son James, his brother Matt, his father Les and his closest relatives Teresa Jackson and the girls Kelly, Kristy and Kim. Phil, as a friend, co worker and fellow sailor of over 25 years I will truly miss you. You shared your skill, insight, sense of humour and adventure with so many. My best memory was sailing with you on Georgian Bay over twenty years ago. During a 24 hour non stop passage,  even in huge seas,  foul weather and a foul stomach,  you were still smiling.
