Peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in his 66th year. Beloved husband of Rhoda. Loved father of Rachel Smith (Peter) of Newmarket and Sarah Smith (Floyd) of Hagersville and step father of Sheila Walker-Haylock (Rob). Sadly missed by his step grandchildren; Joshua and Laurel. Dear brother of Lynn McDonald and Richard Smith, both of England. Robert was a respected employee at Cresmount Funeral Home and will be missed by his colleagues and friends in the funeral industry. Robert had a passion for music and loved playing and collecting guitars. He also loved to follow Formula 1 racing.
