Dear Rob, 
I still can't believe we have lost such an amazing man.
I will cherish all my wonderful memories of you. In a way you treated me like a daughter through my life. You regularly kept in contact and helped me to get through the loss of Mum.
Your sense of Humour was your biggest asset and always made me laugh.

Oom Rob and Tante Gerrie were 2 of the kindest people I have ever known not just thru words but deeds as well. Their love for their children and grandchildren was evident in every conversation and the care that they showed my parents over many years will never be forgotten.

We are so sorry to hear the passing of Bob. He was a wonderful kind man with a sense of humour.
He loved life and will be missed.

Dear Victor, Michael, Eric   and family.

The sudden death of your father  Rob came as a great shock to us. We still do not know what to say especially as the death of your mother Gerrie was only a month ago.  
I, Peter Visser  met Rob when we were at school in Nijmegen and we have always kept in touch. When he came home to visit his mother he  always came to see us. In later years we made little trips all together through Europe. We  were invited to come to Canada and stayed with your parents . We had a great time and on another occasion we visited them we spent a very nice holiday together travelling through the Rocky Mountains etc.
We will miss them dearly but we have made some nice memories.

My husband and I worked with Bob at Re- Source several years ago .
He was a good Worker and we enjoyed chatting with him .
We are shocked by his sudden death and found out at same time yesterday that your Mum had died a month earlier .

Rob and Gerri were friends of my parents, Bert and Freda. Rob was a kind and caring man. He took time to visit my dad in the hospital. He worked with my mom at the Resource Thrift Store. Rest in Peace.

It needs time to get over this big shock and I still don‘t know what to say.
To loose bolth parents in just four weeks is so sad and unbeliveable.

Rob was a wonderful person with a big heart always funny and ready for jokes.
I liked him so much.
Just like Gerrie he gave me the feeling to be a family member at the time I lived with them.
I am so greatful and thankful to beeing in  touch with them until now after 40 years🙏

To the family of Rob and Gerrie van Voorst, I'm so shocked to hear of Rob's death less than a month after Gerrie's.  Rob and Gerrie were so special to us over so many years.  Rob volunteered at Camp Shalom to help out with the grounds and other tasks.  Gerrie generously supported our projects in West Africa.  They were great next-door neighbors to my parents, and I got to know them better in the last 10 years as I visited often.  They were always willing to lend a helping hand, had a great sense of humor, and so sociable.  My husband and I had a lovely lunch with Rob and Gerrie in January at a local restaurant.  It's so hard to imagine that they are both gone now.  We are heartbroken for their loss.  The Lord gives and takes away - blessed be the name of the Lord.  Love, Nancy Drost and Siapha Kamara
