With broken hearts we announce the sudden yet peaceful passing of our dearly loved brother Ronnie while surrounded by his siblings Robert and Debbie Shields, Heather Shaver (Dave), Vicki Norris (Don), Colleen Cotton (Mike), Jerry Shields and Natalie Hall (Dave). Predeceased by our Father George Shields and Mother Margaret (nee McKnight). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ronnie led a quiet unassuming life and never asked for or expected anything except to be loved by his family. We will deeply miss him. The family will receive friends at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 1pm until the time of Memorial Service at 3pm in the chapel. Cremation has taken place and a private family burial will take place at a later date. If desired, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
