Rosemary (Ruza) Jagatic

Predeceased by her husband Mato [2018]; loving mother of the late Frank [2014] (Brenda), Irene (Ivica Niksic) and Robert (Sue and daughter Sarah). Baba is loved dearly by her grandchildren Christina (John Balmat), Alana (Joseph Huff), Daniel, Anita (Ivan Milas) and her great-grandchildren Frankie, Benjamin, Timothy James, Emma, Rosemary and Jure.

Rosemary, a beacon of gentleness and love, will forever reside in the hearts of her family, friends and kumovi in Canada, Croatia and the USA. Her legacy as a compassionate and multi-skilled homemaker; a hair stylist, seamstress, accountant and baker will forever be appreciated. Rosemary’s infectious smile and laugh will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Visitation at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, on Sunday, September 8 from 4-9 pm with Rosary at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 10 am. Rosemary is to be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery in Burlington with her husband of 65 years. Donations in Ruza’s memory can be made to Holy Cross Church or a charity of your choice.
