Peacefully passed away at St. Peter’s Hospital on Monday, January 16, 2017 at the age of 94. Predeceased by her beloved husband Walter. Loving mother of Jeff Andrew and his wife Jan Divok, Carol Andrew, and Susan Andrew and her husband Joe Persaud. Proud grandmother of Maggie, Emily, Ally, and Olivia. Predeceased by her brother Charles, and sisters Dorothy and Helen. Ruth will be dearly missed by her nieces, nephews and extended family. The family wishes to thank the nursing staff of 3 East at St. Peter’s Hospital for the wonderful care provided. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. If desired, donations to St. Peter’s Hospital, 3 East would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
