RAE, Ruth Lillian (nee Barriage) - April 5, 1921 - April 4, 2013 After a long and rewarding life, in her 92nd year, Ruth passed away peacefully on April 4, 2013 at the Grace Villa Nursing Home. Predeceased by her parents Murny and Evelyn, brother Richard, her devoted husband Albert (1998) and loving son Barry (2009). Cherished mother to Brenda (Arnold) Carey, Brian (Anne), and mother-in-law to Susan. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Tammy (Mike), Jeff (Alicia), Christine (Christopher), Michael and Robert (Nicole). Adored great grandmother of Stephanie, Amber and Vaive. Aunt to Lynne Dupuis. Ruth's kindness, compassion and love for family and friends will be sadly missed. She was a longtime Girl Guide's and Brownie Leader and enriched the lives of many. Our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to the staff and volunteers at the Grace Villa Nursing Home. The family will receive friends at the CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton on Monday, April 8, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount Hamilton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Grace Villa Nursing Home, whose activities Ruth enjoyed while in residence there.
