Sam D'Angelo

After a valiant battle, surrounded by the love of family at home on Monday, September 30, 2013 at the age of 56. Reunited with his parents Gennaro and Filomena in heaven. Loving step son of Antoinetta D’Angelo and her children Jane and Attilio (Sharon). Beloved father of Meagan, and brother of Rossana Rispoli (Ciro) and Bruno D’Angelo (Elena). Dear uncle of Anthony (Stefanie), Lisa (Justin), Gianluca, Alessandro and Erica. Sam will forever live on in the hearts of many wonderful extended family and friends. A heartfelt thank you to all those that helped care for Sam during his battle. Sam was always involved with something, from being a Coach with the Saltfleet soccer club, the president of the Dofasco Tennis Club, being on the Executive Committee of the Dofasco Skating Club, and parent council at St Francis Xavier School. He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and playing hockey with the Rec-Mix League and the Old Timers League at Dofasco Park. A dedicated man, and co worker with more than 30 years at Dofasco, he will be truly missed by everyone. Family and friends are welcome to visitation at the Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street (at Kenilworth) on Thursday and Friday from 5-9pm Vigil prayers on Friday at 8 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church 165 Prospect Street North on Saturday October 5, 2013 at 10:45am. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum to follow.
