At the Juravinski Hospital on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 62 years of age. Sandy leaves behind husband Tony, her mother Mabel (Walter, predeceased), brothers Robert, Russel (Bonnie) and family, her daughter Heather (Randy) and family, son Jamie (Shannon) and family, and son Michael, step-daughters Beverley, Dawn (Tom) and family, Debbie (Marty) and family, nine grandchildren, cousins, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and in-laws. A warrior has fought an epic battle, at Love Canal, at Woodstock for peace and harmony, for woman and children so that they were not chattel (owned) by their husband and fathers; and for twenty-two years at the CCAC and VON she fought for client’s rights. Sandy could not sit back and not right a wrong. Visitation at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue E., on Monday 1-3 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service from the chapel on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
