It is with profound sadness, after a brief illness, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Mom, Nanny and GG on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the age of 90. Predeceased by her loving husband, Bill (1973). Cherished mother of Donna Benoska (Al), Debbie Coupe and Bill Lawrence (April). Loved nanny of Cathy Benoska-Dolomont (Dave), Allan Benoska, Jimmy Coupe (Colleen), Amy Coupe (Scott Daley) and Billy Lawrence. Dearest GG of Kyle, Katie and Kevin Benoska, Maddy Coupe and Jack Daley. Shirley was a devoted caregiver to her family and will be dearly missed. She is now with her loving fur babies Sparky, Sammy, Rusty, Trooper and Gracie. After 45 years she is reunited once again with her husband, the love of her life. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Wednesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm where the Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 11 am. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Donations in Shirley’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Hamilton SPCA.
