Silvana was a loving wife, mother, nonna, sister, and friend who will be profoundly missed. She is survived by her daughter Sonia (Doug); son Stefan (Karen); and grandchildren Julia (Matthew), Jack, Noah, and Alexandra. She is predeceased by her siblings Renato, Sandro and Nella.
Silvana was born on May 6, 1937, in Orciano, Itay. She enjoyed many trips to Italy over the years to visit family and friends and to proudly show her hometown to her children and grandchildren. She loved the beach and in later years would take the bus by herself to Marotta to spend time with family and friends playing in the sand and swimming in the Adriatic.
Silvana and Rino loved to entertain their family and friends at their home. Summers and holidays were filled with loved ones crowded around the dining room table or in their backyard to enjoy the delicious meals prepared with food from their garden. She passed along her love of entertaining and her Italian recipes to her children and grandchildren who continue the tradition of gathering friends and family to enjoy home cooked meals.
Silvana was a talented seamstress who loved to make clothes for her family and friends, including her daughter and daughter-in-law's wedding dresses. In her later years she started knitting, often creating her own designs, which were worn proudly by her granddaughters and family. Her talents will be missed by all.
Silvana will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know her, love her, and be loved by her.
