Passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at St. Peter’s Hospital at the age of 94. Predeceased by his wife Norma (2000), by 2 sons and by 1 granddaughter. Survived by his children Lois, Gary, Wendy, and Deborah, by 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Stanley served overseas with the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry. He was a past President and lifetime member of the RHLI Veterans Association, a life member of the National Prisoner of War Association (ET), a member of the Dieppe Veterans and Prisoner of War Association. Stanley retired from Otis Elevator Company after 28 years of service. Visitation will be held at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 615 Main Street East, Hamilton (east of Sanford Avenue) on Sunday April 20, 2014 and Monday, April 21, 2014 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Marlatt Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
