Stefan "Steve" Sajder

Surrounded by his loving family, it is with great sadness we announce on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital the Lord called home His loving and faithful servant Steve at the age of 85. Dearly beloved husband of 50 years of Vida (nee Simcic). Loving father of Elizabeth and the late Steve Booth, Annie and Rob Poolman, Steven and Lori Sajder. Most cherished Opa of Steven, Sarah Booth and Mackenzie, Madison, Mason, Miley Sajder. Dear brother of Betty Panko. Much loved uncle of Joey Sajder, Tony and Jane Kasapowitsch, Katie Williams, Anna and Earl Tarbutt, Evelyn Clancy and many great nieces and nephews. Cousin of Joe and Rose Kress. Predeceased by his siblings Joseph and Josephine Sajder, Annie and John Igl, Karl and Ana Sajder, Eva and Will Kasapowitsch. Steve was a retired tailor of Farrar’s Male Fashion. With great pride, Steve came to Canada 60 years ago, July 1, 1952 and has been a resident of his beloved Rosedale home for 58 years. A special thank you to the staff of 4CTU at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their loving care given to Steve during his short stay and Father Marijan for his visit to the hospital, also thank you to our special angels, you all know how grateful your love and support has meant to us. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Monday from 6-9pm and Tuesday from 1-3pm and 6-9pm with Vigil Prayers Tuesday at 7:15pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 11am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
