Stjepan Fratric

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Stjepan at the age of 76. Loving husband of 53 years to Ankica. Devoted father to Robert (Connie) and Natalie (Lorraine). Adoring Deda to his grand-daughter Daniela, the only person who was allowed to "messy" his hair. He is survived by his sister Danica (Tomo) and brother Juro (Anika) and their families. He will be missed by his extended family and friends in Canada and Croatia. His love of planes and watching over his garden and flowers brought joy and happiness to his days. His infectious smile, kindhearted ways and joking nature will be missed dearly by all. Wearing of masks is requested by the family. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Monday May 16 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. with Prayers at 6 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, on Tuesday May 17 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice are also welcome. You always dreamed of flying a plane but never got the chance. Now you can fly high with your own wings and keep watch over us.
