Stjepan Rimac

Beloved husband of the late Ruza Rimac (nee Gelo). Loving father of Tony (Sue) and Laurie Higgins (Jay). Loving Deda to his five grandchildren (his pride and joy), Erika (Connor), Alyssa (Ante), Justin, Emmerson and Parker. Stjepan also leaves behind his brothers and sisters-in-law, Ivan and Angelka, Marko and Luca, cousin Anna Vukadin (Jozo) and the many nieces and nephews, cousins and all their respective families. Predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law Jozo and Ljubica, his sister Janja of Croatia, and sister-in-law Kata (Bozo).

Visitation to take place at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday, September 18th from 4-8 p.m. with prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Eugene's Church, 232 Queenston Road, Hamilton on Friday, September 19th at 10 a.m. It is our father's wish to be buried in his place of birth, Croatia.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Youth Sports Program at the Croatian Sports and Community Centre (GMR) in Hamilton would be appreciated. The family has chosen to donate to Kapela in Celebic. A special thank you to all the staff from Henley House in St. Catharines, Dr. Khambalia and staff, and Jamie-Leigh Ontario Health At Home for their wonderful care and compassion. Steve will forever be remembered for his quick wit and comebacks and his wonderful smile.
