Predeceased by her 6 siblings. Susan will be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She left her home province of Nova Scotia at the age of 16 and couldn't wait to start her new life in Hamilton. Susan was a hard worker and retired from Stelco after 20 years of dedicated service, in fact she wasn't ready to retire and would have worked until her dying day. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting which she has many blankets that she has given out to family and gardening tomato's, cucumbers and her beautiful flowers. A fiercely independent women, she was quite upset that her family made her stop cutting the lawn and driving at the age of 89. The house she lived and raised her family in for over 60 years was always immaculate and she took great pride in the things she had. A no nonsense lady who always spoke her mind, had lots of fun and had an amazing sense of humour.
Following Susan's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal services. If desired, donations to St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Hamilton would be sincerely appreciated.
